It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Divine Fire Schools is, an institution born from my desire to provide a balanced educational system that moulds learners into rounded leaders.

Our Facilities and Services

The school facility consists of not only the physical structure and the variety of building systems, such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical and power, telecommunications, security, and fire suppression systems. The facility also includes furnishings, materials and supplies, equipment and information technology, as well as various aspects of the building grounds, namely, playgrounds, areas for outdoor learning, and vehicular access and parking.

Provision of bus services

We have different brands and models of safe and well maintained and serviced fleet of buses that we make available to learners at affordable rates to convey students from homes to school and vice versa.. Each bus is under the supervision
of a caregiver who ensures that our pupils and students safety.

Constructing New Facilities

During strategic long-range educational planning, unmet facility space needs often emerge. The goal of educational planning is to develop, clarify, or review the educational mission, vision, philosophy, curriculum, and instructional delivery. An architect is often selected to assist in facility planning in cooperation with the educational planning consultant and in-house facility staff.

  • Facility planning includes any or all of the following activities.
  • To foster a well-rounded education for your children.
  • we offer many programs and activities to our students. Special Events: During the school year, we also hold special events such as our annual Halloween Party, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Concert, Grandparents Day, May Procession, Poetry Contest, and Field Day..

Art Program:

Students will have 1 scheduled art class each week. Under the direction of artist and educator, Philip McGaw, the Saint Joseph School art curriculum for Kindergarten through Grade 8 is centered around learning the elements of art and design. Throughout this structure, discussions and activities include an incorporation of art history, color theory and critical thinking, often incorporating subject matter which is of specific interest to a particular class.

  • Most of these programs will run from 6-10 weeks.
  • Report cards are sent home four times during the school year.
  • These outline the student's academic achievement.
  • Effort, behavior and attendance. Guidelines for grading are stipulated on each report card and vary according to the appropriate grade level.

Homework

  • Parents can assist their child in scheduling their study time.
  • Short and long range assignments are sometimes given.
  • Students who neglect to do assignments on time must expect to receive a failure for that assignment which will be reflected in the student's grade average for that marking period.

Home study is a necessary part of each pupil's educational program. Each student is expected to spend some hours in addition to scheduled class instruction to achieve satisfactory work.

Make-Up Work

Teachers are required to provide an opportunity for students to make-up work missed as a result of legitimate absences. Make up work includes class assignments, quizzes, tests, and long term projects. The student is ultimately responsible to make arrangements for make-up work.

  • Make-up work must be completed within a period of time as established by the teacher.
  • The maximum amount of time given for make-up work will be twice.
  • Any student who fails to meet the deadline will forfeit his/her right to make up the work for credit and receive a zero for the work/tests not completed.
